Unit 3 exhibition and research festival

From unit 2’s research, I tend to go more far and deeper with repairing memory of losing in the further creative practice. In the project, I am using beard and scar as crucial images to explore. For me, beard represents grief from memory of losing an intimate relationship and dream of having a warm and supported one in the future, scar is currently I am during the healing process from an unexpected burn accident. I prefer to keep going with this topic for unit 3 exhibition and here is a draft about supporting drawing of prints below.  About medium, lithography and etching will be the main material of it. In the prints, drawing from beard and scar to unpack the memories such as fainting and dealing with losing someone physically and mentally. I’m interested in transferring this disappointment and sadness to work just like responding to a tiny everyday problem. 

I am inspired by Fay Ballard’s talk during unit 2 especially collaborations she did as a visiting artist at Hammersmith Hospital NHS in 2017 and 2018 and Covid 19 legacy Imperial Health Committee in 2023. I am considering about if I could organize a collaboration with NHS trust or Chelsea and Westminster Hospital that I want for taking care of my burn injury this February.  For example, a small show in the hospital, a workshop or a peaceful talk. I would Iike to deep this idea during unit 3 research festival., thinking more about connect drawing, prints to therapy.
