Lithography registration

When I started drawing the second stone, I learned that registration of two stone images to print into layers. At first, it was hard to imagination of how to manage different size stones getting a bar or cross in the same location. I try  to think repeatedly and follow steps of teaching to figure.

-  cutting paper in suitable size

-  make bar and cross in the opposite side of stones

-  craving the line on the surface

-  print first layer in all preparing paper

-  dry the prints

- follow the bar and print second layer

Crack on the stone lithography

My print Your Beard 6 got a scratch from stone itself, which became a visible crack after first etched. In order to avoiding the crack be printed on the paper, I used French chalk cover it after completing rolling up ink. This step was a job needed concentration and very pay attention on as French chalk was only for crack but not to influence drawing.

Paper and colour exploring

During unit 2, I explored colour lithography and verity colour of Japanese paper, tracing paper and glassine paper. The making process was interesting and could how to transfer colour on the stone. Especially looking at same image on different texture paper and considering for a comparison. At a result, the serious of glassine paper are my favourite.
